Zipolo Habu Resort is located on Lola Island in the beautiful Vona Vona Lagoon, Western Province of the Solomon Islands.

We are only 20 minutes scenic boat ride from Munda airport or Noro Shipping Wharf or we can provide a connection by motorboat from other areas in the Western Province.

By air

Domestic flights to Munda:

Solomon Airlines operate numerous flights daily to Munda from Honiara. Flights to Munda can also be purchased from other regional airports in the West such as Gizo and Seghe.

International flights to Honiara:

Virgin Australia offer two flights a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from Brisbane Australia, offering connections to and from other cities and regional centres throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Solomon Airlines offer numerous flights per week from Brisbane (Australia), Port Moresby (PNG), Nadi (Fiji) and

Port Vila (Vanuatu). Domestic connections can also be ticketed for domestic flights to Munda.

Ship/ferry

Although there are numerous freight boats who accept passengers, there is currently limited providers of passenger focussed ferry services between Honiara and the Western Province.

The ‘Pelican Express’ is currently the only passenger fast ferry which provides a day sailing service to and from the Western Province. Their service departs the main Honiara wharf early on Sunday mornings, arriving in the port of Noro by late afternoon.The ferry returns to Honiara every Monday.

There are a few other transport providers in the area. Note that they may not always run to schedule.

The ‘Rava’ (Munda-Gizo-Munda) – Departs Munda for Gizo (and return) every Monday and Friday (and some Wednesdays subject to enough interest). Upon request, this service can call into Zipolo Habu Resort to collect or drop off passengers. Bookings can be made through Agnes Lodge in Munda.

The ‘Pelena Express’ (Munda to Gizo via numerous ports and villages) – provides transport between Munda and Gizo daily. See their web site for more information.
